Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight round contest which will be streamed live on Netflix.
Briton Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the two fighters came face-to-face to promote the upcoming bout.
Former two-time world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami's venue on December 19th.
Boxer's Mindset
"I plan to damage his features and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, declared.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I'm going to seriously aim to hurt him. That's my intention."
Respectful Exchange
Despite these statements, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually famous for his dramatics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul rather criticized ex Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "ridiculous" after Ngannou rejected a bout proposal.
Taking Aim at Fury
Joshua, at the same time, targeted UK rival Tyson Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer said.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Opponent
In spite of declaring he will damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua refused to speak negatively about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he said.
Jake Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since entering professional boxing.
He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Commercial Success
Still, the relative newcomer continues to be one of the sport's greatest commercial attractions, frequently receiving huge paydays.
Prediction and Belief
The 28-year-old forecast a knockout win in rounds four or five and stated he would derail the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly in the works for two years from now.
"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul declared.
Physical Disparity
As Joshua and Paul met for the customary stare-down, with their physical disparity on show, it highlighted just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is really going ahead.
